Chelsie + Chris | Living Desert Editorial

Ok so this was so special for us for a couple reasons…

FIRST, this was at OUR wedding venue! We were married November 5th, 2017 at the Living Desert in Palm Desert, CA. We’ll start by saying our venue’s wedding coordinator, Sheree Green, was incredible. We’re about an hour drive from the Living Desert so we did a lot of emailing during our planning and Sheree was ON it. When our wedding day came, we felt so confident in trusting her to help things go smoothly whether it was sticking us to our timeline or fending off opinionated family members lol. So we really can’t say enough about our experience at TLD.

This venue has several location options within the park for couples to choose from. We were married in the Palm Garden which is this rad cement slab surrounded by two-story-tall palm trees and draped with twinkle lights. They have two other locations near their wild cat exhibits where you can have your reception with their leopard (behind a glass wall of course lol). They even offer cocktail hour at Giraffe Landing where their guests can feed and pet the giraffes. We opted out of any animal experiences for our wedding since we were all about that simple desert vibe. So, when we had the opportunity to come back to TLD on the other side of the camera, we were stoked.

The other reason we loved this shoot was all about the vendors. So many cool, local vendors came together to make this day happen. I’m gonna fangirl for a minute because this shoot with this gorgeous girl, Chelsie Paige, and her stunning gown was featured by BHLDN and I effing SCREAMED when I woke up and saw it on their Instagram!
